Hello all, I just got done with my first build, and it won't start! I turns over just fine, fuel seems to be fine, it has spark, and I even tried unhooking the kill switch, to no avail. It's a concord riverdale, and to be honest, it was a bit of a tight fit, I will add some pics. Really don't know where to start at this point, I got the engine off amazon, it was the Aurelio tech 80cc 2 stroke. Had to modify the air filter cover to make it fit, but I don't think this is affecting the starting, also because of the tight fit, I had to tilt the carb a bit, not sure if this makes a difference, also, I didn't put in the fuel filter, and the fuel line is a little short, not sure if this makes a difference either, any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Yes, it works like a primer. It pushes fuel into the carb bore for the engine to suck it in. Get some speed, then release the clutch handle. Follow these steps to see how it reacts. We need to see if it will start at all. Then we'll get to the next step. It takes a few tries. Just like knocking over a vending machine.

I have the same issue and same motor. Ran great for an half hour or so then just stopped working and wouldn't start back up. Went over everything possible. Some said motor not grounded to bike? I shouldnt have to scrap paint off bike to ground right?

I had a similar problem, but it would start again after a few minutes. Turns out it was running a little too rich and eventually flooding. I lowered the jet needle one slot to lean it out a bit. As for your problem, not sure. If it's not fuel or ignition like it sounds, could be overheating??

As far as scraping paint no. motor grounds itself. Check all wires though and make sure good connections. If u get it to idle spray some starter fluid around intake to see if rpm changes if so u have a vacuum leak.

Have a question mr big? I put a new carb and tightened all bolt on my new motor runs and got to idle but has no power wont get above 12mph and hills are a joke. Should i put extra washers on head bolt incase the bolt are at max and not actually getting head tighter?
