Hi I have a 49cc huashengtaishan 4stroke up until the other day it was running good but all of a sudden while I was accelerating it just quit going. The motor never died and if I play with the trottle I could get it to act as if it was gonna take off. If I WOT it dies. I have drained the gas from tank and cleaned out the filter that's in side it , I have removed the carburator and blew the Jets out and still can't get it to go anyone have any suggestions or ideas on my issue thank you for your time

Check air filter and exhaust for clogging. Opening the throttle if it gets all the gas as normal but not air would do that I think. Clogged exhaust creates more back pressure and maybe does the same.

to check for clogged exhaust, I usually just loosen it a bit and see if it runs better

when cleaning a jet with wire, always use copper wire to prevent enlarging the jet

Some say about float level adjustment, but that sometimes can be tricky. Have someway to catch parts if they drop so they are not lost. Many lawns eat up parts you know.

I test sometime just the flow of fuel out the hose disconnected to the carb and let it run into a clean container to be reused. It should be a steady flow.

I have a clear inline fuel filter before the carb. I leave that attached and see that it too lets fuel run through fast enough.

For some carbs it is so cheap just to buy another, but of course quicker to disassemble and clean an adjust. A generator was not getting enough fuel and $15 spent on after market carb and it ran better than new.

I want to say thank u to all of you I'm running again I'm not sure what step it was to get there cause when I cleaned the idle jet I when ahead and pulled the carb again aND gave it another good spraying I put it back togather and pulled the plug. I took a wire wheel and my dermal and cleaned it up put it all back to gather and pulled the cord right away I could tell it was fixed so again I want to tank u for all the advise I received, I do have one more question and that is what is the gap size suposed to be on a 49cc 4 stroke huashengtaishan
