If you ask me, NO CLUTCH will work if set up on the jackshaft.

Why?

Think about it. Rpms are LOST when you lower the gear ratio. If you have a 3" crank pulley and a 6" pulley on the jackshaft, that's a 2:1 gear reduction.

If your clutch engages at 1600rpm at the crank,
the jackshaft pulley is spinning at 800rpm.

That means if the clutch fully engages at 2,000rpm, the engine would need to spin 4,000rpm for the clutch at the jackshaft to engage at 2,000rpm.

Which is why I don't reduce but matching it means you fall off...

In this type of build, sounds more functional to use a clutch in a racing matter as top speed is a concern...

It's going to burnout either way but flat lands my territory as I have quoted "I do not mind pedaling..."

A whole month with no clutch failure yet.... I'm not dying to go up hills I'll torque that by feet.

Flat land I just want to zoom across perfect trade off without pissing the law off but I will beef it up for torque

I've checked specs of the clutch in particular this engages 1800....

Tambourine sounds still got to stop even if it's still geared wrong as long as it stops ID pedal to get to secondary gear to carry to 45.

With a new throttle I finished I already have control on meeting it's needs of course it's not going to peel out but still get there and keep speed.

If carbon wheels came with 36 spokes ID sheave that b too!.

3" to 5" would of worked some were around 1.6 to one, been done before on cheaper clutches to help the burn. Ordinal stated 4 or 5" to drop the ratio.

5" clutch pulley will not work on the clutch without jack shaft reduction, you are already geared to high, now you want to go higher

Yes well let me offer this as a rebuttal.

"**** that wheel set and that got damn sheave...."

For pedaling only, your legs can't go the rpm's of a engine, and have way more torque then a motor

I
I really don't care at the end of the day not being rude but I built it I can deal with this it's NOT YOUR PROBLEM ITS MINE.

I've been lugging 200lbs of tools on my back for 3 years of my life repairing others stuff.

I don't gives no fucks about a car, transmission, bike, clutch, not even my own two ******* feet after busting my ass for everyone from that time era and seeing people drive off happy in succession of what I repaired and have to ride a bike.

My feelings are as is the world can KISS MY GHETTO, CHEAP TO MY SELF, BUT NOT OTHERS BLACK, FORD LOVING, CHEVY *******, ASS.

now then, if it's anymore commentary or you don't want to befriend me no more I could care less.

I'm happy freezing to F# death, pedaling time to time, and doing what the f I gotta do to stay sane and happy.

I'll even tell that to my mother and father.....

Unless you paid for it I gives no fucks about anything.

No offense to any older, younger, mid life ladies and gents that's life.
From what you've described, your life must suck.

I feel for you.
I like it when people are happy and not hurting anyone else.

Believe it or not, we're just trying to help you fix your bike, so you can be happy.

Ok.
It'll be hard for me, but I'll just kick back and listen and enjoy how you'll build your bike.

MY life is more like Gladys Knight's

"Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me".

and I am truly grateful:)

I think one of my best breaks in life was not having any of my 3 kids until I was 29 years old.
