Been a very long time since posting here but from time to time did take a look at what was going on. This new format is new to me and I like. . . .

My first build was stolen and did manage to retrieve only after a couple days of rain. Did not help much and had some repairs to make. . Funny part was the brake was inop when it was stolen so was hoping the culprit would manage to get it running and then be faced with stopping. This happened for the rear brake was a disaster area. lol lol

Been riding the thing for some time now with lots of miles and guessing time for another build so going to be scanning these pages and see what I can come up with..

So cool you got it back. Would love to hear the story. It's great when they come home/get it back.

Happened much like I described. Fella took it out of a storage shed and fled. When I reported to the local police I mentioned, " why did they not take the welder? New sitting on the floor etc and his response ,"they could not carry it." It had the regular ,as they come ,brake in the rear and it had come loose and the wheel axle nuts were loose also. It had been ridden for several miles away in a ditch with water. Did my heart good to know he tried to stop , not knowing it had hand brakes t , and the arm on the rear brake had spun around and pulled loose and the wheel had slipped out of the hold. lol lol lol. Busted butt I bet. These police seen to know the local thugs because they found it , in that ditch, fairly soon. Bad thing was it had rained steady for two days and you can guess. Cleaned the ole girl up drained the tank, flush and started riding. Fires up every time and purrs along, not fast, but nicely. All the kids in the neighborhood come out of the garages and try keeping up with me on their pumpers. Fun. Anyway thinking along a four stroke this time and maybe lower and a little longer. Few more upgrades, brakes, do away with the rag joint etc. So I will be watching more now and getting info. Good talking to ya. gphil
