I stay in an apartment, so parking/storage is kind of a problem for me, especially being on the second floor. What do you guys do? Technically you aren't even supposed to keep gas or engines in an apartment...or storage units. So what are some options here for renters?

Well, you could take a chance, keep it in your apartment, on the balcony if you have one. Place a bath towel, folded 3 times, on top of the gas cap. Even better if you drain the tank.

If the manager or landlord finds out, you might get evicted.

NEVER start your MB inside your apartment.

You could rent a storage unit and keep your bike and gas can there.

You could park it outside in the bike rack. Buy a car cover and a motorcycle chain.

Easiest method probably is to have at least two locks of different types that live on the metal structure outside that you'll be locking to. Same spot and locking every night.

OK, I was specifically looking for other alternatives. I have heard of bicycle lockers and other storage options. Does anyone know anything about that?

Transit system may have bike lockers.
Look into storage places if any are nearby.
Parkade storage.
A friend or family garage.

Otherwise you gotta hump it up the stairs, or lock it up outside.
