Title says it all. I was riding today started to slow down an then bam starts making this rattling sound. Engine still runs. An I've checked everything on the outside in the clutch an sprocket. An can't find the culprit. Im afraid the rod bearing or something of that nature is shot. Any ideas guys ?

always check everything on bike that can come loose, then check anything that could get into chain run, then look for frame cracks

only then should you start looking into motor

I've checked the entire bike. It's solid. Everything is good an tight an solid. I got back out earlier an think that I've found the issue. I believe it's the clutch. The part that holds the clutch pads. It seems like it's loose somehow. Its in place where it's suppose to be but wobbles an has a little bit of play. I'd like to think that's the issue. An I'm praying it's not a rod bearing. Like I said it's engine related for sure. But the motor still seems to run fine. It idles an runs very strong still. Jus lower speeds or idling it just rattles an jus started making the sound out of no where.

many motors have some looseness & clunking there - those hub bearings are crap, but be sure to check that the nut is tight too
