Thank you for showing us this beautiful engine. I wish I could, in return, show you the green waves of jealousy pouring off my skull as I stare at the craftsmanship.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.
Here is another video, I advanced the timing and the flames stop coming out of the exhaust pipe. I think it runs good enough to start with a kick starter now so next up is to start building the drive train

you know you are the maestro

but that head light has got to go

please it is so disproportionate to everything-- looks cartoonish/clownish

Beautiful workmanship. I'm impressed with your attention to detail like the rocker arms.
Keep up the good work; two thumbs up from this ol' machinist.

That is wonderful! I could just sit back in a chair with a bowl of popcorn and watch and listen to that motor for quite a while. I'm at a loss for words. It is one of a kind and looks every bit an early motorcycle. And I like your headlight. It does not look 'clownish' to my eye and helps to make the bike look distinctive and authentic. Many of the early motorcycles had large headlights.

sorry silverbear but on page 13 of the thread are the pictures I have used to make the statement I have made regarding the headlight --- the headlight dwarfs your wonderful girder fork
and is aesthetically unsettling

tom --your local scrap yard should have many stainless steel containers . bowls etc that if they were
3-4 inches less in diameter would be better proportioned for your frame, seat, etc.or think of two or three smaller units unified
and still keep your EXCEPTIONAL ONE OF A KIND-- NO ONE HAS ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING CLOSE TO WHAT YOU HAVE PRODUCED --THAT I AM AWARE OF -- atleast present on this forum --- just an aesthetic point ---though there are many exceptional machinists- engineers and fabricator/creators whose works are exhibited here
and still keep your classic/vintage look very much intact

I looked at these for my build. Some have a vintage street tread look while others are a little on the knobby side but they would have been on the board track circuit too.

Thanks guys.
Silverbear I took this bike to a gas engine show and when I started it up it drew a crowd and one guy came over and sat down on the ground right be side it and just stared at the engine like he was hypnotized by it and he sat their until I shut it of. I know that the head light is a [ little ] large but nobody that has seen this bike in person has said so but a lot of people said they really like it . I think that most people are looking at the engine and wheels and don't even notice the head light.
at the show another guy came up to me and was looking at the bike and said he was the one who supplied the port a johns for the show. I looked at him and said thanks some body has to do it. He sat down in a chair beside me and talked a bit about the bike and his interest in bike and he told me that he road a old HD in the last cannon ball run #24 Kelly . When I got home I looked him up on the net and it look like he has done well in the equipment rental business. and johns is a very small part of his business. He also said he liked ever part of my bike . that made me feel good coming from a guy that been around these old bikes.

buda no offence taken by me I thought you first post was funny. How about you posting some pictures of your stuff.
