Hi ; Im new at this and starting my first build with a Grubee skyhawk66/8 kit on a Trax mtn bike frame, Im told i need to replace the wheels and spokes because they arnt heavy enough also a hd axle--Id like to use a 3 speed rear wheel is this possible? Can i get a wheel thats made for these motorswith the sprockets on them --Gee i have so many questions sorry guess i should have done this before i turned 72 years old but id sure thank y'all for any help you can give

Hi bugnut, welcome to the forum from Dallas. You can answer a lot of your questions from just browsing the forum.

You have zeroed in on one of the most important aspects of the build, the rear drive. What comes stock will work, but it's very labor intensive to install. There are several different types of sprocket adapters available for different applications. One of them will work with 3 speed hubs. Also you can get one for a single speed coaster brake, and another one is for disk brake hubs.

Have fun with your build and try not to get in too big a hurry.

Biknut; First let me thank you for the quick responce and the help Ive seen a hd axle that dont bolt to the spokes and has speed gears on it but lost the info -Do you have any idea where i might get one like this----thanks for all the help

I'm not sure I do, but I suggest starting a thread about your planned build, and I'm sure you'll get a lot of help.
