What type of grinder head is used to cope tubing to its self before welding. Is air drive or electric the best why to go.

2door. I have given something on that order some thought. It's good to know it would work before I start. I still need to get the front end back on the bike. I don't think the paint on the fork is quite dry enough yet. I'm going to start on it next week I hope. I still have half of a leather...

Will do. I've been painting the fork after welding and have to get the bike back up on it's wheels before I go for a shape for the seat. It's going to be awhile

Welcome To The Welding & Metalworking Forum

A big thank you to you Crazy Horse! It's been so long since I posted this I forgot that I did. I never did get an answer until now. I'm new to metal working and this really helps. Flexing is my problem. My first attemp resulted in the seat pan pushing the back fender onto the tire and a 100%...

Yup. Orange Co. rigging axe track house framer is where I started. All you had to do is follow the concrete trucks to the next job. The trades have come a long way since then. I was teaching construction at our community college when I retired

That creative staring is what keeps me sane. It's the riding that makes me nuts. That's one of the reasons I got rid of my last motorcycle. I'm 67 but if I swing a leg over I'm instantly an idiot 14 year old. All of it is just too much fun!

You have cool garage junk! Very nice work indeed. It all looks like it would work well too. Most everything on my one bike is bolt on stuff from E-bay. Most of my tools are building contrator stuff. I spent most of my life working with wood so the metal stuff is kind of challenge for me. Great...

Centrifugal Clutch will fit 1999-2008 reproduction Whizzer motorbikes

I don't think of it in hours. It's more like years for me. I get to it when I can. Sort of motivates me to get my work done so I can play.

Sounds like the hot tip Scoot. I think I'll try that when I get back to work on the bikes. I would like to put a springer on it if I could find one that actually works. Monarch is not it. They look nice but not much travel. I did get the new heavyer springs for the Monarch but I haven't put them...

It started and would not turn the wheel at all. I had the guru in Outer Banks fix it but I haven't put it back on the bike yet. I have faith

The Monarch has been all welded up and is primered at this point. My plate is full this time of year. It's just too hot here in the summer. I attached some pic's I think. I don't see them in this post so I'll post it and see what happens. Jim

Centrifugal Clutch will fit 1999-2008 reproduction Whizzer motorbikes

I put one on my 99 when I first got it. It worked great for years too and then one day I started it and it didn't work at all. It never acted up, no warning it just quit. I sent it to the guru on the other forum and haven't had a chance to put it on the bike yet. I have no doubt it is going to...
