carb wont fit in my frame

I had the same problem and ended up just trimming the intake neck a centimeter or two to get it to fit. I had no engine issues as a result.

Please Help buy kit in California!

$180 a little high? lol Isn't that like the average price? I remember a few years ago prices were generally higher than that. Also keep an eye out on craigslist; I once got a decent kit for $100 off of a guy who was going to build a bike but ended up not having the time.

    Ethanol Conditioners?

I hope I don't sound rude(I know this thread is over a year old), but I'd like to leave my 2 cents In my experience of running my bike on pure ethanol, I can say that most of the claims about ethanol causing engine damage are false. First of all, most of the parts in these engines are made of...

    Bicycle Motor Parts Grab-bag!

SOLD! Due to some big life changes, I have had to given up my motorized bicycle hobby for the time being. Now that I'm moving, I've got to get rid of everything I have. This has been a fun project and I intend to come back to it one day. Meanwhile, I need to sell off all the bike parts that...

Best to make a head gasket

I too have used the soda can trick. If you cut out a square of the metal, you can iron it flat with a clothes iron and then trace & cut. Not really recommended, but it does work. I've also heard of people using the metal from disposable aluminum pans. As long as the surfaces of the head and...

Where to get better crank bearing seals?

I'm a bit confused. Does this mean that your bearings have their own seals and are not exposed to the fuel-oil mixture in the crankcase? I hope I'm just misunderstanding because that sounds like a bad idea in the long-run. Also, what extra seal are you referring to? Is there no seal as part...

I had no problems with 32:1. Then again, I use ester-based synthetic.

    Boost Bottle

I think that's the first time I've heard someone say that Iridium plugs aren't worth it. I've never used one, but it seemed like nearly everyone says that they improve performance.

    Which kit?

I know what you mean. When I first wanted to buy a kit, I asked some people on another form, and someone tried to discourage me by saying that the "motor will last maybe a week before siezing and the rattling will make the motor fall right off on your first ride". Even after experiencing the...

    Boost Bottle

I've never used one myself, but from all the research I've done in the past, I'd say it's complete bull. If memory serves me right, I believe the idea behind the boost bottle is that some of the pressure & fuel from each cycle is stored and released from the bottle, giving the engine some extra...
