I've built a front hub electric & am adding a small 4 cycle motor as well. I seem to recall reading a post, this forum, that indicated caution when running with gas power and that damage to the Hall's could result if the power wasn't on to the electric circuit while running on auxiliary power only (including just pedal power). Is this information correct or am I not understanding it well? Has this any connection to the electric hubs regeneration of power and if so is my quite inexpensive hub kit capable of regeneration that would effect the Hall's? The kit has no information about anything, let alone concerning regeneration. The hub functions well & I've ridden quite a bit, but always with power on, even while using pedal power only (I don't use the pedal assist option, throttle control only) just to be sure no damage occurs. Thanks.
