Default Anybody rode one of these

Walmart.com : E-Zip 2008 Trailz Hybrid Electric Bike, Men's : Bikes, Scooters & Skates

That sure seems like a reasonable price. I wonder if you could squeeze a gas motor in there?...............

It doesn't seem to be much more inexpensive than a wheel kit. I think I would go with a hub motor for that much money. Best I can tell that is the real state of the art in ebikes at the moment.

The "Trailz" you mention is pretty nice from what I've heard but I also know that in their effort to be "legal" they have artificially limited the motors output so it stops assisting at 18mph and that the normal bike components used is a step down from the electronics used - in terms of quality. BUT it is cheap so in that light - it's not a bad deal. But if financials permit - you can probably do better

That is my ultimate goal! I just set the motor in there and marked location so any future mods won't interfere.

My current build is basically a break-in MB. Maybe over winter?

after having run a chain and wheel motor even if it was a pusher, I think maybe the izip bike is worth the money.
