Default 100:1 Mix

Well after much research, and definite results from another MB owner I am taking the plunge, and switching one of my bikes over to the 100:1 mix. A friend that I had sold a Motorbike to was told by the major small engine shop in town they have had tremendous results from the Opti-2 100:1 mix.
Everytime we have gone riding together his bike, (that I built) just absolutly runs away from my fastest bike. They are both geared the same, and he out weighs me by 40 lbs.
I drained the tank and tried it out today on about a 15 mile ride. After about 10 miles it started running smoother and better. When I got home I pulled the spark plug and was amazed to see the black crud was gone off the top of the piston.
I will keep you posted on how the engine performs and lasts. Right now it has 320 miles on it. It all works out about the same as the Opti-2 is about twice as expensive, but I use half as much.

Do you mean 320 miles so far with the opti-2 at 100:1?

No, the bike had about 300 miles when I switched over. You can look up the Opti-2 on various web sites and see what people have to say about it. I haven't found a negative comment yet. I guess for me time will tell.

John,
Did you find it locally, retail? Or did you have to order it on line?

Tom, I found it at a local outdoor power equip. shop. They said most of the large local lawn care companies use it in all their 2 cycle mowers, trimmers leaf blowers and chainsaws. The people that use them more in a couple days, than we do in a year.

That is exactly my thinking. I am trying it in an engine I wasn't really happy with. If it works out great, if it blows I will get another one. So far it is running alot smoother.
I am also getting ready to purchase a Morini for a bike I am going to build this winter.
