Default Has anyone tried this before?

OK, so I didn't any more hits on my other thread. I want to do something functional and unique. Has anyone already done this? Know anyone that has? This is just a Mock up to get an idea of how it's going to look. Anyway the rockshox are the perfect width without any mods. Going to weld the top shox supports to the original forks, then use part of the original wheel arm put a springer style pivoting arm, which in turn attaches to a post hole on the shox. Efectively making a hybrid springer/shox.

Give it a try. Builders are always looking for unique forks.

Alrighty then this is how we are going to do this. I should be getting my welder this weekend. I'm going to spend a couple of days getting back into the swing of welding and doing a bunch of practice welds. When I feel the Knack is back I'll lay some welds down and we'll have some results to Post.

OK so some said this couldn't be done others just said don't do it. I love it and it functions rather well. Here it is...dam no I have to repaint it again, guess I'll do the rear end suspension while I'm at it.
