Default NGK resistor type plug cap

I was at the motorcycle shop today to pick up a liter of premix and a new spark plug cap...and I didn't have my glasses with me

Got the new NGK spark plug cap home, put on my glasses, and noticed it's a resistor type, has a 5k resistor in it somewhere. Question is is anyone else using an NGK resistor type plug cap? Even though 5k isn't a ton of resistance I don't want to smoke my CDI and have to wait a week for another to arrive again.

I am using a resistor plug wire and I have had no problems. It's a NGK off a Honda XR600.

I had no problems using an NGK resistor cap on my 2 stroke (handed down to azvinnie since I went 4cycle)
it helped with speedo as well...no ferrite filter needed

Thanks guys, you put my mind at ease.

Bike has been running awesome since the new CDI but it's been rather wet here lately and the old cap I have been using has no rubber seals...cap came off an old honda that was laying in the junk yard so I figured it's time for a proper replacement...lol
