Default Harbor Freight Motor?

Been searching any updates on the HF 2.5hp?

anyone have any luck?

I ck'ed it out at the store and it seems that with a comet/Max torque clutch and chain reduction it could work mounted as far forward in frame as poss. With wide cranks of course.

10t clutch to a 30th? driven sprocket to a 14? to a 44 on the wheel.
(havent worked out the gearing yet)

I have the hots for a 4 st. BUT I am a big guy and am worried the HS 50 wont be enough.
Tired of over working the china motors and killing rear wheel bearings.

BTW found the HS 50's for $150 as well as some interesting extras at

Generators, gas generators, diesel generators, propane generators, inverter generators

they are out of stock and I am waiting on an answer back.

thx
