Default Motor wont start

Hi Norm,
Steve here... I somehow lost the thread I started a while back. I cannot get my motor to start I have fuel and spark but not a single pop. You suggested putting some fuel in the cylinder and I had already tried that along with spraying some ether into the intake while spinning it over and no help. My next ? to you was: Is the magnet on the end of the crank keyed to the shaft? and if not, could the timing be off ? I appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Thanks,
Steve

Default Re: Motor wont start

I had the sam exact problem and upon close inspection of the magneto area I noticed that the engine wasnt turning all the way over everytime..............the clutch wasnt completely engaging. I checked the spark plug, magneto, cdi, and everything else. What was really happening it that the clutch would only turn the motor over once in a while because of the very slight slipping. Look and confirm you see the magneto turn over and over. Good luck man
