Default Filing Drive Sprocket

Can anyone tell me what they know about filing the drive sprocket on an 80 HT?

I assume you are talking about the rear sprocket. You just dress the sides and tips of the teeth till you can wrap the chain around it and it fits well.

No I'm talking about the engine sprocket. I want to file those down so that the chain stops getting bunched up.

If the chain is getting jambed in the front sprocket then it's running way to loose. Unless there really is something wrong with the spocket but that sprocket is usually fine. If you could post a pic it would help. The engine sprocket is hardened steel a file is just going to polish it.
