Default removing the baffle and need input..

I had a hole in my muffler gasket the other day and it gave me the same power if i removed the baffle and now i am addicted to that improvement. I think i have a newer pipe with the cat and the baffle welded inside, because the end cap is welded on and does not simply screw off.. how do you properly remove the baffle on a pipe like this ... and will removing my baffle kill my engine sooner or is it a safe mod to do... thank you
patrick

on the cat muffs like i have, there is a screw at the bottom of the muff to remove end cap,but the inside baffle does not come out. you would have to cut the top end off, remove or modifie baffle then weld cap back on.
