Bigger Gas Tanks
Does anyone know of any good tanks that are maybe a gallon or more that can be easily installed
without any modifications, that just screw on like the stock ones? Maybe that wrap aound the frame? And also, can you put wider tires on your cruiser for a smoother, more stable ride?
Cheers

Re: Bigger Gas Tanks
first id like to get a smaller tank with a petcock, something that dont look like a football that the stock tank looks like.second my scwhinn delmar cruiser already has wide 2.125" tires front and back any wider and there wont be room for a sprocket or anything and any wider and there would be clearance issues with the chain.

Re: Bigger Gas Tanks
stock tanks are 3/4 gallon... you could create a 1/4 gallon reserve with a 2nd smaller tank zip tied to the frame. could use a soda bottle and zip tie it to the frame.. hose running in, and hose running out the bottom to the carb.. seal the bottle up with silicone so it don't leak.. silicone good gas line in it and not the cheap plastic stuff from the hardware.. only trouble is, you would have to open the petcock to get it filled first, then close it and refill the tank.

Re: Bigger Gas Tanks
Stock tanks are 2 liters, so 1/2 a gallon...
Some will hold .6 gallons. I've never seen one that will hold 3/4 gallon.
There is a 4 liter tank available on ebay. (1 gallon)

Re: Bigger Gas Tanks
BoyGoFast on ebay has some bigger tanks. There are a couple other 1 gallon tanks out there as well. I'm waiting for "ghent" and his tanks as an option.
