Northern wisconsin

Hello all:
I am from northern wisconsin and am thinking about getting a motor assisted bike kit. I just called the DMV and they seemed confused on the rules of operation for an assisted motorized bicycle.
The lady said she would transfer me to the state patrol. I did not get through. Anyone out their from Wisconsin? If there is could someone explain the rules of this. Such as drivers license, insurance etc.

welcome to the forum . i am not sure on wisconson but the police are just like who you called and probably do not know anything and they leave us alone as long as you are not terorizing everyone. let us know what you find

Welcome to the Forum. In Florida these are considered "Motor Assisted Bicycles". I think it is pretty much a gray area.

Ya I dont think it will matter in wisconsin as long as you dont speeed and drive crazy!
