Default Help With A Grubee Gen II engine

I built a Schwinn Legacy with a Grubee Gen II engine and have been having problems with leaks under the cylinder. So far i have made two attemps at fixing the problem with no luck. The other problem is that this engine was detuned for import reasons and is weak on the low end. This past Sat. i was down to Jim's to get a motor mount and a sprocket adaptor and sprocket for my son's bike that i am helping to build. Jim checked out the engine and it was not obvious what the problem was. We also made a new gasket for the cylinder base and tryed to seal it but still has a small leak. If any one has any experience with this Gen II engine to get it to preform better please let Jim or me know what you did.
