i have seen many people ask this question so I will try to explain it in depth. The kit comes with a clutch handle and 3 speed shifter in one unit that way if you have a 3 speed bike hub you cna clean up the handlebars a bit.

No the motor does not have gears.

the 3 speed is just a shifter for your bikes gears.

Oh! Yes !! I use My Happy time for a commercial meat grinder all the time.

Low needle setting coarse grind.
Med needle setting medium grind.
High needle setting fine grind .
YUM!

Yeah...I'm going to pick up, let's see, a meat grinder, a sink drain stopper, a baseball bounce back and, oh yeah, a bike motor that is advertised misleadingly.

yeah i thought the engine that said 3-speed were just that,i didnt think it just came with a 3-speed shifter knob built in the clutch handle. i checked out the site, now i get it. there kits come with dual brake handles or 3-speed shifter knobs built it.the engines are regular with 1-speed.
they do have dual start engines in stock and they are great prices.

the shipping is $30+ for a engine kit at gasbike.net plus they have parts
but they charge a lot even for small parts.
i ordered a $12carb and $3intake $23shipping ups ground= total $38
but everything i ordered came in like 4-5days right to my door by fedex.

my engine kit 48cc dual start was $149 + shipping

i broke a tab on my carb thats why i ordered a new one.

and if you order from the thelashop i would just believe the min hp rating,im not so sure about the max hp rating.but they are honest with the 200-250mpg and 30mph rating.
im getting 32mph and 200mpg,but my engine is not from them.
