The temp finally was decent and the roads were 90% dry so off i went last nite and tonite for a proper test/shake down ride...put on more than 20 miles and cruises effortlessly at 25mph and topped out at 32mph(Gps) with the 1" roller and a 300lb rider. The bike is perfect and feels great at any speed. I just pedal a few rounds on take off to help preserve the roller and tire but it will go from a standing start even with me on it...would probably do 40+ with a normal sized rider and could then also up the roller size for some real speed...but its good for me and i might try 1 size smaller roller for testing purposes as it got faster with me riding it when i changed down from the 1.25 roller.

You just can't beat the friction drive units for dependability. I own 2 and there isn't any tinkering with them. And smooth as silk!
