qld law will allow ac/dc bikes up to 200w.
what i did was got on ebay & bought this sticker.
havent been pulled up yet but havent seen cops while riding either.
will have to wait & see i suppose.
I live on the gold coast.
Tried to upload the pic but wouldnt work.
It says pedal assist max 200w output stuck on the side of the motor.

I saw a cop Once on my mb, he laughed at me and waved me on, I think he was after trail bikers as i mostly use a disused railway track ( herritage trail )

Geoffmaree--Thought we were hard done by here in British Columbia. We at least get
500W but it can only be a hub motor since you can't run the motor through the bike gears.
Going to buy one put together by a local E-bike shop. They can sell me one cheaper than I can put one together myself. They cost $1250 CDN.500W/36V Canadian made frame.
We have some pretty impressive hills around us so they build it with that motor and voltage.
There is a chap on Vancouver Island who is building an E-bike but it will be a couple of months be for it is available. He wants to test the heck out of them first.
Like your sticker idea.My luck is that copper would be a retired electrical engineer.
Steve.
