need an opinion on this motor
KingsMotorBikes - 4 Stroke Bicycle Engine Kits - 4 Stroke Gas Bicycle Engine Kits - 4 Stroke Bicycle Motors Kits
ok im seriously considering this motor kit for my next build. I would like to try a 4 stroke engine and the price is perfect on this website.
I looked over a few reviews and King's seems to be a professional buisness
Please give me any advice you have on this kit.
thank you members

Re: need an opinion on this motor
Go for it! You can't beat that price and Kings is a good dealer.

Re: need an opinion on this motor
I have not bought this kit, but that is a great price. I can't find any mention of a transmission or reduction gear. I would ask b4 ordering.
Edit; opened a larger pic. it does have what looks like a hoot GB.

Re: need an opinion on this motor
yea i beleive the set up is similiar to an 80 cc with an integrated clutch system.
had the wife not been with me today at Dicks sporting goods. and nagged on me about buying a 97 cc mini bike 4 stroke I would be working on that project right now. LOL but that engine would have worked for my needs pretty nicely with some modifications. Its was 299$ for an entire mini bike , if nothing else it would have made a great pusher motor set up ya know.

Re: need an opinion on this motor
2Funny, same thing here but a few weeks back. Really would make an awesome pusher.
dunno if you are still looking, but if that is a hoot GB, here is a link on them; http://motorbicycling.com/f37/hoot-r...ters-5738.html

Re: need an opinion on this motor
whoa Dan, thanks for that link. I have seen it before but i also forgot about it . i think I will pass on that kit even though it looks tempting. there may be a reason it is so "cheap" in price ya know. I dont mind putting a build together but i start throwing hammers when the motor itself wont work properly. (kidding , but u know wat I meant)

Re: need an opinion on this motor
That most certainly is the "Hoot" type gearbox. I have yet to hear a good report about that gearbox. It is known for breaking gears and for the clutch drum coming apart. Buy it if you wish, but don't say we didn't warn you.
