48cc dual start starfire gt-2 grubee engine kit 44T sprocket $186 gasbike.net
top speed 31mph (i try to stay around 20mph)
carb mounted on right side
basket on front
gas used 1liter

i have the exact same bike was it hard to mount it in the frame?

yes i had to cut and notch the frame to get it to fit on roadmaster,i since had bought a new bike a scwhinn del mar cruiser and put my engine kit on that. dont use the roadmaster sx sport or a next avalon.

its a very tight fit,dont do it,not worth it. use another bike if you can.
sparkplug/boot,intake/carb and air cleaner does not fit.

thats the only bike i have that is a v frame

the engine will fit on the bike,its a tight fit thou.
#1 you will need to make or buy a curved or short intake for your carb.
#2 you might not be able to use stock airfilter,tie foam filter over carb.
#3 you will need a short sparkplug and you will have very little room if at all for the sparkplug cap. Goodluck.

do you have a cruiser bike or anything that might fit the engine,it dont have to be a v-frame as long as theres room for a engine.

that wont work unless you use a rear engine rack mount.

dude i just took out my dad's bike from the shed and it is the older version and the frame is even biger than the new one

I just did a Roadmaster install. It was a real pain. Wish I would have read this thread before building it. It did turn out sweet though. I had to grind out the engine mounts so it would set lower in the v frame. If I had the right tools to grind out the brackets properly, I would make this a regular build.

My neighbor and I both have Roadmasters. Stripped down they sit on the sides of our house we used them for parts. He got his for $50 and I paid $60. Who knows someday maybe we will do something with the frames.
