Default 2nd build is complete

I just want to share some of the mods I used on this second build, some I got from here , But my muffler set up is original. I purchased a length of conduit and shaped it , then added a smaller briggs and stratton muffler on the tip. to be honest I was hoping for less noise, it didnt seem to help much but it looks nice. What did help quiet it down some was adding belt shims between the fins, so I did it to both builds I have. Also Im showing a new muffler strap I made and welded to my first build and attached it to a water bottle screw all ready on the bike.

enjoy

I dont understand how to make thumbnails and I dont want to add the pics as you will have to d/l them so I will give you direct links to view.Except for first pic

By the way , its looks funny as heck when the exhaust is smoking out the back due to too much oil in my gas

I like that bike. It seems simple and clean, yet it has all the goodies!
I like the V-belt idea in your fins and those nice tires. I don't know if I've ever seen that muffler mod but it's cool, you deserve credit!
How is that chain doing for you? Seems a few links too long and may have less rattle if tighter.

thanks Toy, a friend gave me this fuji 21 speed and judging by the tread on the tires it was never used much. there very good on wet pavement . And yes this was a fairly simple build , nothing out of the ordinary but it sure is fun to build one and then ride it successfully with out getting hurt ya know.

Yea the v-belt mod was clever and I got the idea from this forum and yes they actually help quiet this motor down a few DB.

and now that you mention the chain I do need to take a few links out , I didnt notice till today just how wobbly it is , thx for pointing that out, it is on "to do list"

yea , on my first build that exhaust brace did turn out very clean and since I used the water bottle bolt to attach it , that was the icing on the cake.

and no I didnt modify the insides of the stock muffler , just added that peice of tubing and also a stock briggs small muffler for appearance more than anything, and welded it all together but i was slightly disappointed that it didnt silence the noise much

It was 20 minutes of pure heaven, better than drugs and nearly as good as sex. I finally got my bike put together and went on my maiden voyage today. The first problem to arise was I noticed that my coaster brakes are not working as well as they should. Has anyone experienced this after putting together the rear sprocket on a coaster brake bike??

I got the idea of the shims from this forums, what they do is help stop some engine noise, and i can tell alot of difference also, the shims are from a fan belt and wont be affected from heat , i had to use my grinder to make them fit though.
