Default Tring to find out my seat post size

Hi

I am new to the forum ,but I own a schwinn point beach cruiser that I have recently started to add a engine to.I have a question does anyone know the size of the seat post on this model?I am wanting to replace the factory post with a suspension post I don't have a caliper handy to determine the size of the post.

The post is 1" where it slides into the seat tube but tapers to 7/8" where the seat attaches. This is a standard used on most bikes, your Beach included. Some high end and lightweight road bikes have a 7/8" seat tube. If you purchase a 7/8" post there are bushings (shims) available to make it fit a 1" seat tube. Hope this helps.

if you pull the post out...it is stamped on the side near the minimum insertion marks
