Default Another carb question

Hey Guys
My engine is running pretty good(Dax 70cc) but one thing I notice is it seems to want to four stroke when cruising and not under any load.Any acceleration or slight hill and it really kicks in.Running slightly rich I'm guessing.I know this is pretty much how you want to tune a chainsaw. So is this what your looking for on these engines. Thanks,Ron

That is about right.
These old school piston ported two strokes are actually running about right when they run as you've described. You could go a little leaner and listen closely to the engine....I'd bet it still four strokes at no load conditions, and you'll maybe get a slightly better run at lower speed throttle settings, but it will run too lean at or near WOT or higher rpm.

I went from the stock jet to a #68 Dellorto and noticed a huge difference in top end performance while relying on the needle clip adjustment for off idle to WOT bogging. Thats just a bit smaller than the stock one, im waiting on another at the moment, a #65. I let you know how it works out.
