Moped Tires

Here in the UK it would appear the Motored Bike hating government have decreed that in order to be legal they must have speed rated tyres. Moped tires basically. Was wondering if any of you chaps knew of a compatible set.....
first thought was the velosolex but that has smaller wheels. Other option is to use moped wheels and hubs.... what you guys think is the best thing to do to please these sad sad sad little men.

It's baffling that the home of BSA, Triumph and other great marques is so tough on motorized bikes. The ability to use bicycle tires makes the hobby very affordable.
You may need to source a set of moped wheels to use speed rated tires. (Very affordable on EBay).
It seems like the tires used by professional bicycle racers on 70mph mountain descents would be speed rated. Good luck.

Thanks wheel bender... will pop in a local motorcycle shop and get their advice. I know the old raleigh run abouts had 26inch wheels and by the looks of the minsk and honda cub their wheel diameters look similar. There must be some that will cross over...
