Default Twist grip gear changer

I just bought a 80cc kits i want to install on my mountain bike. The kit has a twist grip throttle. However my bike has a twist grip gear changer. Has anyone ever encountered this issue and if so what did you do to get around that?

Looking forward to building this new machine

Dave

On bikes with two twist grip shifters, I usually disconect the front shifter (you wont need that many gears anymore) & only keep the shifter for the rear wheel... I move that twist grip to the left side of the handlebars!

I just pushed it over...don't need to use it very often.

Now that I'm rebuilding my bike, I removed the front shifter, and relocated the rear shifter to the left side.

I've been known to occasionally use thumb shifters in lieu of twist shifters.
