alright here goes im 21.
looking into getting/ building my first motorized bike for me and my brother to go cruizing together. what should i start looking for and whta motors are more reliable/ aftermaket support?

I recommend a bike with a good solid steel frame. These things take a lot of vibration and good welds are a must!
