Never had one of those, but aren't you going to have an issue with the front brakes?

I will cut off the brackets on the front fork, and weld them to the back of the fork. or use this type of brake and put it on the back, have not really decided yet

I have sawn off the brackets on the front of the fork, Now it is only just to measure up and weld them to the back of the fork

I have now made the engine mounts, just to fit in and weld. Engine has a little fun "carburetor" There is only on or off. When you drag in a handle, it is idle, when you release it is full throttle

Someone forgoten to screw the fuel lines in the fuel pump!
A lousy soldering manifold, Most screws were loose, but everything is going to be fixt

Welded clear brackets for the brake, now is the fork ready for painting!. Projectet is almost complete, remains to final finish

I have now at last got the engine to function properly! The quality of "China copy" of solex engine is beneath all criticism. have had to replace the piston, fuel pump, screws, fix the clutch etc.. but fortunately it fit original parts from solex. have been doing some test rides, but there is no speed monster directly! peaks around 20kmh, but it is enough for it to qualify as a moped. now running perfectly legal with a traffic insurance cvlt1

Did today a little longer test drive about 30km, it went perfectly, fuel consumption approx 4dl gasoline Average speed according to GPS 25.3 kmh

little faster than I thought it would go! cvlt1

Made a new front fender bracket that is also attached to the muffler. Was in the same style as the "original" Solex, I have also found an old taillight that I think would be a good fit

Thanks! I was also a little surprised what GPS showed, but there was a few downhills that gave a little extra speed

Normally, I think 20- max 25kmh is what it performs

Both are unique and great looking bikes!! I especially like the integrated top tube fuel tank on the orange bike. I would like to do something similiar to that one for my next build.

Very nice stable you have!
Even the real solex was never much of a speed setup...like you said, it's for comfy cruising.

Is that your bike on youtube going 74kph (46mph)?
