Default About Sprocket Change

My kit has come with 44 tooth rear sprocket
If I change rear sprocket to say 48 tooth or other tooth
would I have to changed the small engine sprocket to
something other then the 10 tooth it comes with?????

Any help please
Frank

What would you be trying to accomplish with the sprocket change?

But regardless- no.

Depending on how much you weigh (i'm 180 lbs ) going to a 36 tooth sprocket will increase speed an reduce vibration. My first kit came with a 50 tooth sprocket and it had tons of low end torque but topped out at about 25 mph and vibrated so bad it would make your hands numb.Going to a 36 will make you have to peddle on up hill starts but the power band kicks it around 10 mph and pulls hard.My bike will run 35 mph every day with no jack shaft kit and is very dependable.

Ok thanks guys
Now i have it straight
The only reason I asked was because
I'm thinking of going maybe 48 tooth my part of NYS is
very hilly. I thought maybe it would help just little
more.

Thanks again

Don't forget the extra chain links you'll need going up in size....
