My roommate (who originally made fun of me), now rode my bike around and wants one!

Since I already put it together on my bike I think I should be able to avoid the basic hangups. He doesn't have a bike at all so we have to get one. The simplest method would be to hit up craigslist or walmart and buy a cheap 24'' mens bike but......I generally don't do simple.

Any ideas on mounting a motor to this frame?

After just previewing my post I noticed the bike has rear disc brakes, probably have to take those off and not use them (assuming I can come up with an idea to get this working in the first place)

Good luck. You'd never get a chinese frame mount type in there, maybe a rear mount friction drive or a Titan.
