I use the baggy method too, but I don't poke a hole in it. I pour the lube into the baggy. Stick the cable end into the baggy. Make sure there's a lot of air in the baggy. Wrap a rubber band tight around the baggy and cable. Then hold the cable up so that the lube is down around the cable end. Then squeeze the air out of the baggy, which will force the lube through the cable housing. Works really well.

I think you are talking about Real Magic, we used to use it on everything when I worked at Bass Pro Shops until we realized that all it was was 100% silicone spray.
