The above post is right on:
Tension and alignment with the sprockets. Get those right and you'll eliminate most chain problems.
The rear sprocket MUST be centered on the hub. If it wobbles or is not concentric you'll stress the chain, and everything else.
Many of us replace the kit supplied #415 chain with a better quality #41 industrial roller chain.
