Exclamation epa, federal and texas law regarding motorized bicycles

I want to motorize my bike and provide this service for others. Does anyone know federal and texas state law regarding motorized bikes.

I'm not too sure how the laws in Texas are but we do have some riders here from there and the consensus is you are generally left alone if you're not causing them any concern.
EPA is the last thing on their minds,believe me.

There is really no law on engine assisted bicycles in Texas. The law that most people use is for scooters. I was told by a DPS Trooper I was legal. I was told by a city cop that I was illegal. So I guess it just depends on the who pulls you over. If I see a city cop I just kill the engine and pedal.........................

Welcome to the forum steven, ride safely obey traffic laws and you most likely will not be bothered. Ride other wise and yea, you will get stopped.
