Default Bicycle sprocket + 415 chain?

Hi
I found a cheap bicycle 36t sprocket
Is it safe to run a bicycle sprocket with a 415 chain?
Asuming it is properly aligned/installed
Thanks in advance

Yes, if it matches the sprocket, #415 chain is more than sufficiently strong.

that my friend is a very good question
I will most likely go to my local bike shop and see if I can find a used sprocket in the parts graveyard and see if it will match up with my chain
it would be nice if someone with more knowledge on this particular subject would chime in with what they know.

I use them all the time. I try to get the solid ones and drill the holes myself. The hole that is for the crank arm lines up perfectly with the 9 hole gaskets. You have to enlarge the center hole.

Hi
Today I visited a friend who has a machine shop
I dissasembled the stock 44t rear sprocket and used it as a template
Enlarged the center hole and drilled 9 holes in the 36t bicycle sprocket
Cut 4 chain links
Reinstalled everything
Tried it slow at first, and as I understood it works perfectly I gave it more gas
My mb rides at low revs at a perfect cruise speed
No more engine vibration
I highly recommend this mod, I am 220 pounds and it has almost the same low end
Peace

My trike has a sprocket from a donor bmx bike. 40 tooth. I plan on using the 36 tooth currently on my crank and replace that with a 44 or 46.
So yes. It most definitely works.

Hi
Pics
44t sprocket (before)

36 t sprocket (now)

It cruises at a higher speed w/o vibration
Had to mod the brake lever, I'll post it in another post
