Default Where is the SN on my Chinese Engine?

I can't find the serial number on my 48cc 2 stroke Chinese engine.
Do I need to pull an engine cover to find it? Is it in english?

Its unfortunate but it is applied with invisible ink and no one has figured out where its located ... the search goes on

It's on the bottom of the piston.

For disclosing a VIN, stamp one in or make one up. I have used 007 just to be funny but the DMV could not care less with homebuilts and boats. they just want the blanks filled.

If you built it, "1" is a valid VIN. But add a bunch, they love digits.

You could also use the S/N of the bike. Usually located under the crank. That way there is something you can show the powers that be if they ask.

Yes, and that would help if ever stolen too. Great point Fin.

My "VIN" is the bike's SN.

Thanks everybody. I will get out my engraver and scratch something onto it. I wanted to be able to ID the motor if my mo-bike was stolen and engine was separated from it.

Why would you think there is a serial number? Did someone tell you that?
