Smile Running Problems

I bought and installed a new plug, CDI wire, and removed the filter from the cockpit and installed an inline filter. Now my bike will crank, but it wooooosh, then brzzzzz, but when I give it throdle it bogs down and cuts off. It won't idle either. I have checked for air leaks and everything is fine there. Please, any ideas? Please bear in mind, I am NO machanic at all. But I'm going to have to become one, funds won't let me not be one, lol. Thanks Guys.

Check the float. Make sure that it isn't stuck. Loosen the carb screw to the manifold and push the carb all the way in. Check for debris blocking fuel flow either on the fuel line or in the carb. Remove the wire for the plug and check to see when you try to start it if it has some spark. Try these first, they're the easiest. You'll have to determine what's wrong by process of elimination.

Also make sure you're properly using the choke.

Thank You 'ebmvegan', I've done all of that except check the spark. I figured if it cranked, it had spark. Mine cranks, it just won't run or idle.

Thank you 'jasonh', now that may be my problem. Since I took out my petcock filter and put on an inline filter, and did the other changes, I may not be doing the choke right.
