Cool Mpg is waayyy low

I'm running full tank 20:1 still on my first gallon and after riding about 30 miles I'm already at half tank. This must mean I'm averaging 60mpg which is half of what kit said (150). Is it because of the oil mix ratio that causes it to burn up so fast? Is it normal to kill your engine by choking it all the way and is it normal if the engine itself smokes(not exhaust smoke)?

I doubt 150 mpg, but 60 mpg does sound like you are leaking or sucking raw fuel.

Expect maybe about 80 mpg on a bolt on sprocket HT engine set-up.

I would start reading on tuning.

New plug and wire.
Needle on lean slot.
Smaller carb jet.
Look for carb leaks, defects.

So do you have a 1 gallon tank? Most of them I've seen are just 1/2 gallon tanks..............................

New engines use more fuel, so do ones that are running too rich.

How many gallons/miles does it take to fully break my engine in? My top speed as of right now is about 30 mph. How much increase will there be once my 80cc is broken in?
