Fo'Sho'!
I have over 800 miles on the stock tensioner, with a skateboard wheel for the roller, no problems and I haven't had to adjust the chain yet!

I had 750 on a stock bearing type tensioner and it was good as new when I sold the bike.

The key is to get the bearing tensioner, and run the chain loose, like 3/4" play.
