moped scooters in nc

Today I wanted to take my new mtb25 out for a real world spin so i rode it to the bike shop. I noticed that their mopeds had no pedals so I had to ask. Low and behold the moped law was changed and no one told me. You don't have to have pedals just be below 50cc and the 25 max speed.

interesting for maybe a small bike with no pedals.

That's like a lot of states. I have had two scooters that would also qualify as "mopeds" even though there was never a provision for pedals.

yes i have seen that. I like the bike, I have been tempted to put a 31cc or a girls 20" bike heck i might move the chain saw to one.
