Default Chirping engine

my engine is making a chirping noise. I am pretty sure I need to adjust the clutch. Until I do that, should I ride it?

Default Re: Chirping engine

something to try for the bird chirps.
Take off the cover that has the clutch arm on it and pull out the short clutch rod see if its well greased if your getting that noise I'll bet the short clutch rod is dry. If it is get a magnet and get the ball out and shoot some grease into the shafts hole insert the ball and grease up the short shaft while your at it pull out the clutch arm from the cover and shoot a little grease onto the hole put her back together and see if the noise goes away if it don't then darn it at least you have a well lubed clutch linkage.
