The way I have it mounted now I'm only using one of them but with the dog ear in the bracket the dog ear rests against another stud so the bracket can't move down and feels solid.

Guess the right thing to do is make up a bracket to have two mounting points....
Wow that bike is shiny.. dont look like its ever been rode...

love that Green and by the way that horn looks good mounted there.

Thanks mapbike, I have put 285 miles on it since it was completed last October. I wipe it down after each ride, I'm kinda obsessive about keeping it clean.

Love the color too. Been looking at military bikes for ideas for decals on the gas tank.

Manic, your like the Professor on Gilligan's island. To make a MB, ya just need an empty box of wheaties, a coconut and a 3 wheeled shopping cart.

Truly, the master of repurposing. Those (of us) about to ride, salute you. (sing to AC/DC song or gladiator reference? snork)

Hehe, now that dumb song is stuck in my head; (I know I keep reposting this but always cracks me up)

"Bud Light presents, Real Men of genius. Motor-bike style. (Chorus;real men of genius)
Today we salute you, Mr. weed-whacker, motor-bike builder.
(Mr. weed-whacker, motor-bike builder)
Any one can buy a cheap imported scooter. But only you take a yard tool, a bicycle and a socket set to new heights.
(we owe China lots of money)
For the man who has every thing. Every thing except a passenger seat"
(his friends have cars)
All with out a helmet.
((Female chorus))Gonna scramble your eggs)
So crack open a Bud light Mr. Mystro of the weed-whacker powered motor-bike. We'd sing your praises. But you don't have a muffler and can't hear us.
(Mr Weed-Whacker, Motor-bike Builder)

Anheuser-Bush, Saint Louis Mo"

i bought a fuel filter and some fuel line today (none of which fit on the bike, derp)
Also got some liquid gasket, waiting for it to cure now. never used the stuff before so I'm a little bit antsy about it. only put it on the crankcase cover and magneto cover so far, if that goes well I will be using it to waterproof the wiring outlet.

also one of my exhaust studs looks funny, might have to replace it, not sure yet.

so, I realized that I need to get inside the magneto cover to waterproof the wires, oops.
Took apart a beautifully formed in place gasket and started thinking about what to do next when I noticed that my exhaust pipe touched my pedals now (didn't yesterday) so I fully dissembled my exhaust system (doing this requires de-tensioning the rear wheel) that's how I learned that one of my exhaust studs had stripped, so I pulled both and replaced them with a pair of bolts with the heads hacksawed off. so just finished rebuilding the exhaust system, didn't bother re-tensioning the rear wheel yet, and the magneto cover is still off.

all-in-all a good evening of work i'd say
XD
