Hey, folks:
I bought a Yong Xing engine a while back and installed it on an old mountain bike, but I didn't get to enjoy it for long before the starter cord snapped. When I took the starter apart to replace the cord, I popped the spring. I've rewound (gah!) it several times, but it doesn't seem to want to engage and recoil. I must be doing something silly wrong.
The hook on the end of the spring is supposed to engage with the little metal protrusion right below the cylinder for the screw, right? It seems like the spring is skipping past it - I can hear a clicking noise when I try to spin it.
Anybody have a diagram/video handy?
Thanks.
