Motorized Cruiser Bicycles The beach cruiser has always been great bicycles to motorize. They just look good with a motor. Use this section to share and discuss about motorizing this classic.

Default OLD Ross Barracuda

heyy all! this is my first bike project EVER..!!!
this is my old Ross that i got for free like 3 years back. so its been sitting around and im going to put the old weedeater motor in this. with out the plastic on the motor it almost fits snug in the frame.

i need to know, though, about the drive. the clutch on the weedeater (where the rod for the shaft goes in) is about an inch and a half from the chain above the pedals. im going to put a 11 tooth sprocket on the clutch, but i need to know what i do from there! do i need to turn the motor around and run a separate chain on the other side of the bike? or can i run it off of the stock side and sprocket?
