Default free/cheap carb upgrades??

Can the cheap carbs sold with the chengines be replaced with a junkyard carb from say a weedeater or chainsaw? For better performance and tunability?

Is there a list of carbs that will work with the 67ish cc chinese engines?

Everyone says Walbro. Thats great to know but can cost much more than these engines deserve. Obviously walbro carbs that are compatible must be used on some other engine. What should I be looking for?

I would find something in the same throat diameter, but with some more adjustability. Any small dirt bike carb would be a start.

The throat of these chinacarbs is 20mm (mounting) and I'd shoot for 15 mm intake diameter.

You know, that might just work....I measured the bolt (stud) spacing at 30.5 roughly....have to take the manifold off to be sure.

here something a guy could try use 2 small carbs on a shop made intake manifold like the old 2 stroke karts used to use might be a real headache but it would look cool.
2 barrel 2 stroke what would that be like other than lots of cussing and screaming?!
